Time sure does go by fast these days! It has been such a busy fall for me and I’m so looking forward to the holidays when I can catch up on some sleep 😉
Some great new retailers have been added to our list for Sewfunky Slings. I am very excited to be working with them.
Mataea Mercantile is located in Duncan, British Columbia and has so much to offer. It is owned by two local midwives and offers health care, massage, yoga classes, midwifery care and an amazing natural parenting boutique. They sell birth kits, cloth diapers, organic clothing, nursing wear and now Sewfunky Slings!
Huckleberry Baby Shop is located in Nanaimo BC and they are proud to offer gentle choice for eco-friendly families. Cristi is an experienced Mama who is happy to teach you all about cloth diapering and babywearing and they also now carry our slings and Pandawraps!
Babe and Bug is an online shop offering natural goodies for Mamas and their little ones. They are happy to answer any questions you might have and are located in Oakville, Ontario.
Tender Loving Corner is a breast pump rental depot and retail store located right in the Maternal Child Unit of Oakville Hospital. The store offers specialty products to enhance the nurturing experience for mom and baby such as electric/manual breast pumps, nursing pillows, milk collection/storage systems, breast pads, nipple creams, educational books and stylish maternity undergarments. They also now carry Sewfunky Slings and the lovely team of Lactation Consultants are happy to show you how to wear your new baby!
It’s very exciting to grow some more! If you are a natural parenting boutique and are looking for a Canadian made Organic Baby Sling please email me for more information!

Now that I am finished all my shows, orders and presents it is time to do some sewing for fun. I made this sweet little dress for my youngest. She has been wanting something with this deer fabric since she first spotted it. This pixie dress was the perfect design for it! The pattern was great, easy to follow and colour instructions, I love it!
I liked it so much I made it again the next day in this beautiful spiral swirl fabric :

I was so very busy in March preparing for the Stitch N Kitsch Spring Show & Sale. I had a great day, it’s always so nice to see old friends and new, and meet lots of mamas with bellies and babies! There were so many beautiful things there as well, we have so much amazing local talent 🙂
Spring has come with so many blessings, my sister is in remission, for more we could not ask. I am so glad she is on her way to being well, she still has a lot of treatments ahead of her but she is such a fighter, we are all so proud of how strong she has been through all of this. Thank you to all of you for your kind words, prayers and thoughts.
We have no snow left and the kids and I have been out on our bikes and getting fresh air, time for me to shed my hibernation pounds! ha ha ha
Stay tuned… this week I am going to post a Sewfunky Sling Give-Away to celebrate Spring!
